ARB's Ascent features fully-integrated remote central locking which utilises the vehicle’s existing locking system. The central locking system connects to the factory wiring through the use of a ‘plug and play’ wiring loom, which ensures that splicing of wires is not necessary. All doors and windows feature slam-shut closing, and the rear door features a manual key override.

The Ascent hardtop features popular lift-up side windows that are operated by a discreet electrical button that runs from the vehicle’s battery, this allows for easier cargo management and access to the back of the utility.

Transform the Ascent window into a window that can be adjusted between a lift-up or pop-out position. Improve airflow or even run a mains power cord back into the canopy while keeping the contents of your vehicle safe and secure with the catch’s central locking integration. Additionally, the vehicle can even be driven with the window in the pop-out position.

ARB developed their Ascent canopy from a blank canvas, meaning that they were required to validate new designs and put them through a rigorous testing regime. Utilising a combination of software, laboratory and real-world testing, ARB’s canopy team performed validation simulations using the latest software through Finite Element Analysis (FEA) in CAD along with real-life testing of a complete canopy in their specially built thermal chamber with temperatures up to 90°C.

Adding to the visual appeal of the Ascent, the design features a double-curved rear door and side windows with frameless, tinted safety glass rated to international standards. 5mm thick with a dark grey tint (28% visual light transmission), the tinted safety glass ensures cargo is protected from UV penetration and adds security against prying eyes.

A standard feature of the Ascent canopy – the slimline, high-flow canopy vent is ideal for when it comes to reducing dust ingress. With the open vent facing the front of the vehicle, the canopy’s interior is pressurised; preventing dust from entering from the rear door or tailgate.
