The Bush Company 180 XT Awning

The 180 XT MAX Awning delivers 8.53m² of freestanding shade, creating a sheltered space for your camp kitchen, swags or seating area. Designed for strength and convenience, it can be set up by one person in around 60 seconds, with an equally simple pack-down.

Made in South Africa, the awning combines reinforced aircraft-grade aluminium arms with 316 marine-grade stainless steel hinges. Its fully trussed main arms and strengthened front and rear folding arms provide a sturdy, freestanding structure without support poles.

The olive green 320gsm poly-cotton rip-stop canvas is water-resistant and mould- and mildew-resistant, with reinforced attachment points for added durability. A heavy-duty 460gsm rip-stop canvas bag with YKK zippers protects the awning during travel while allowing moisture to escape.

Mounting and Care

The awning requires a minimum roof rack length or front-to-rear load bar spacing of 1.9m, with mounting brackets positioned within 200mm of each end of the frame. It can also be fitted to compatible Bush Company rooftop tents using the appropriate awning-to-tent brackets, sold separately.

Season the canvas before first use by wetting it and allowing it to dry. Use the supplied guy ropes in strong winds and wet weather, and do not leave the awning unattended during snowfall, as excess weight can stretch the canvas.
